Se Swa Girls was developed by Katirise Jones, Owner of Salon Se Swa by Queen B.
Katrise felt by taking her accountability to the community to strive to give
back to teenage girls the opportunity to accomplish their dreams and vision to
success. By pouring into teenage girls it would turn their live around from a
life the situation, such as teen pregnancy drugs, and sexual abuse. She started
that teenage girls needed Black Women as role models, business owners,
executrices, someone to admire and be there to assist and expand their creative
ways to do for more for themselves as well toward their lives.
Katrise, is showing her examples on how important it is to give teenage girls
the keys to success by opening her own doors to her chain of salons and other
business adventures. She has teenage girls working as shampoo tech, teaching
them how to courtesy, responsibility, understand the value of money, and the
ability to work with others. Katirse is also giving the teens away to develop
programs and outlet and self confidence during the program.
